1. Why This Page Exists

Zoccer is an editorial site, not a sportsbook. We do not hold customer funds and we do not run KYC checks ourselves. This page explains the anti-money-laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) standards we expect every operator we link to to meet, and how those rules will affect your account once you sign up.

2. Operator Standards We Require

To be listed on Zoccer, an operator must, at minimum:

  • Hold a current licence from a recognised regulator (UKGC, MGA, Spelinspektionen, Kahnawake, Curacao GCB under the new LOK regime, or equivalent).
  • Run a documented AML programme aligned with FATF recommendations and the most recent EU Anti-Money-Laundering Directive applicable in their jurisdiction.
  • Apply identity verification before withdrawal and, where required, before deposit.
  • Apply ongoing transaction monitoring on deposit and withdrawal flows.
  • Screen players against UN, EU, UK and US OFAC sanctions lists, plus PEP (politically exposed person) databases.
  • Refuse third-party deposits and refuse withdrawals to a payment method that did not fund the account.

3. KYC - What You Will Be Asked For

Expect the operator to ask for the following at registration or before your first withdrawal:

  • Proof of identity: passport, national ID card or driver's licence (front and back).
  • Proof of address: utility bill, bank statement or tax notice issued in the last 90 days.
  • Proof of payment: a screenshot of your e-wallet, a bank statement showing the deposit, or front-and-back of the card used (middle digits and CVV masked).

Most operators we cover complete this in 24-72 hours. Slower operators are flagged in our reviews.

4. Source-of-Funds (SoF) and Source-of-Wealth (SoW)

Above certain thresholds (commonly EUR 2,000 lifetime deposits, EUR 5,000 in 30 days, or any single deposit over EUR 1,500), the operator must ask where the money came from. Typical evidence:

  • Recent payslips or salary statements covering the last 3 months.
  • Recent bank statements covering the last 90 days.
  • Tax return or self-employment summary.
  • Sale-of-asset paperwork (property, vehicle, investments).
  • Inheritance or gift documentation.
  • Crypto: wallet address, on-chain history, exchange withdrawal record.

SoF requests are not a sign you have done something wrong. They are a regulatory obligation on the operator. Refusing to provide evidence will normally lead to account suspension and a frozen withdrawal until you comply.

5. Enhanced Due Diligence

Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) is triggered by, among other things:

  • PEP status, sanctions hits or adverse-media findings.
  • High-risk jurisdiction listed by FATF.
  • Unusual betting patterns inconsistent with the player's profile.
  • Mismatch between declared income and observed deposits.
  • Use of high-risk payment rails or third-party accounts.

EDD typically means a deeper SoF check, a possible deposit pause, and ongoing review by the operator's MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer).

6. Suspicious Activity Reporting

Where the operator has reasonable grounds to suspect money laundering or terrorist financing, the operator must file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR or STR) with the relevant Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Operators are legally barred from telling the player a SAR has been filed ("tipping off"). This is the law and it applies in every jurisdiction where the operators we cover are licensed.

7. Sanctions and Restricted Jurisdictions

Operators we feature do not accept players from sanctioned jurisdictions or jurisdictions where online sports betting is illegal. Country lists vary by operator licence. Always check the operator's terms before depositing.

8. Crypto-Specific Controls

For sportsbooks that accept BTC, ETH, USDT and other crypto:

  • On-chain analytics (Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM Labs) is run on every deposit and withdrawal address.
  • Mixers, sanctioned addresses and high-risk exchanges trigger automatic blocks.
  • Withdrawals are usually only permitted to the same wallet that deposited, after KYC.

9. Record-Keeping

Licensed operators must keep KYC and transaction records for 5-10 years depending on jurisdiction. Zoccer does not see, store or process those records. Requests to access or delete operator-side records must be sent to the operator directly.

10. Reporting Concerns

If you believe an operator we link to is failing to apply KYC or AML standards (for example, accepting third-party deposits, allowing play without ID, or ignoring obvious money-laundering red flags), email [email protected]. We escalate every credible report to the licensing regulator and may delist the operator.
